I took this picture in 2009 when I went to Italy for the first time.
I was there to visit two Italian friends I had met when I was an exchange student in Spain. I arrived very late at night and I was very tired because I had been traveling for the whole day.
When I woke up the next day, Ana, the girl's mother and Nona, the grandmother, were making a special welcome lunch! They were making homemade Gnochi! All from scratch!
I love this picture because it shows they had me in their house and did their best to make me feel welcomed and loved!
